Nim-cor

As a leading U.S.-based airshaft manufacturer, Nim-Cor, Inc. provides superior web-handling solutions for the web-process industry in North and South America, parts of Europe and around the Pacific Rim.

Nim-Cor designs and manufactures a large selection of:

Airshafts: Nim-Cor's special Iso-Grip™ system of independent flanges provides maximum grip at all contact points along the core, achieving optimum torque. This unique design accommodates variations in the inside diameter of the web core, allowing the flanges to securely grip rolls of any continuously wound material to provide ease and speed in unwinding and rewinding.

Air chucks: Nim-Cor pneumatic chucks offer great advantages over mechanical types. While wedge-type mechanical chucks can be difficult to remove and can cause fiber core damage, air chucks slide in and out easily. With mechanical types, the methods used to ensure core engagement often cause ruined cores and pose a safety hazard.

Air mechanical chucks: Nim-Cor's air-operated mechanical core chucks are designed for heavy duty applications where maximum torque is required. These ruggedly constructed chucks also provide positive, bladderless gripping for shaftless applications.

Auto-locking safety chucks: This style auto-locking safety chuck is bi-directional and is available in a wide range of sizes. The safety shield improves operator safety while protecting against dirt and debris.

Bowed rolls: Nim-Cor's ruggedly constructed bowed rolls are highly effective in handling wrinkle removal, slit separation, slack edges and web soft spots. They distribute even, lateral tension across your web, ensuring vibration-free operation and a long product life. The outer sleeves of our Perma-Bow™ and Ajusta-Bow™ are constructed of tough, top-quality synthetic rubber, compounded for specific application and abrasion resistance. For high operational speeds, our covers are reinforced for dimensional stability.

Roll Restorers: The Nim-Cor Roll Restorer salvages rolls of paper, film, foil, plastic, board and other types of roll stock, saving you the time and money of replacing damaged rolls. The Roll Restorer can also be used to install a shaft while restoring the roll. This mobile unit can be effortlessly transported to restore crushed rolls and is easily stored when not in use. The standard model is designed for cores from 2" to 8" I.D. and a heavy duty model handles rolls with cores from 2" to 12" I.D.
